NPA's Heart for Ethiopia
Ethiopia is a land that has been devastated by famine, war and 17 years of repressive Marxist rule. Despite the end of Communism in 1991, regional and ethnic tensions continue to rend the fabric of this nation. However, amidst these difficult times, the number of evangelicals has doubled in the last ten years and the church in Ethiopia continues to experience a sovereign move of God.
PAOC missionary efforts have focused on strengthening the existing Pentecostal churches through the establishment of nine Bible training centers. Furthermore, during the famine years, thousands of tons of food and clothing were shipped to destitute families by ERDO, our Emergency Relief and Development Overseas program.

Meet our Missionaries
Jeremy & Teresa Feller
Jeremy & Teresa and their three children Bethany, Timothy & Zoe minister in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Jeremy is the Africa Regional Director. From the ministry foundation they have developed in Ethiopia, he seeks to expand the kingdom and make disciples throughout the continent. Jeremy’s heart beats to see the transforming gospel of Jesus Christ expand into the unreached portions of Africa that have yet to be engaged by the gospel, with a particular focus on North and West Africa. He also seeks to raise the next generation of global workers to expand the kingdom of God.
Jeremy and Teresa have served in Ethiopia since 2003, training and releasing church planters, discipling young leaders, engaging in Bible college ministry, and serving on the leadership team of Addis Christian Life Assembly in Addis Ababa.
Brian & Val Rutten
Brian and Valerie are based in Ethiopia and lead PAOC’s work into the region of North Africa and the Middle East. The primary focus of their work, in partnership with strong and mature Ethiopian Church leaders, is leadership training and development of Christian communities, and relief and development in the region. Ethiopia is the perfect base for accomplishing this as a strategic country in Africa--it hosts the Africa Union and is a bridge between the Middle East and Africa. It is also culturally and geographically close to several nations, politically stable, and promotes religious freedom. Both the challenges and opportunities are great. They are also the Missions Program Directors at Vanguard College in Edmonton.
