We are a diverse group of believers - from multiple nations and various situations - united by our shared faith in a loving God.
Pastor Jonathan has a passion for studying the Word of God. Along with being our co-lead pastor, he is the Biblical Studies Director at Vanguard College.
Jonathan's degrees include a B. Th. (Pastoral Ministries Major), Northwest Bible College; M. Div., Taylor Seminary; M. Th (Biblical Studies Major), Newman Theological College; PhD (Divinity - New Testament), University of Aberdeen.
Pastor Naomi received her Bachelor of Religious Education (1999) from Northwest Bible College. She was our Children's Pastor from 1997 to 2006 and also Children's Pastor at The King's Community Church (Assembly of God) in Aberdeen, Scotland for 2007 - 2008. Naomi has a great love for children and she became our Children & Family Ministries Pastor in August 2009. In December 2011, Naomi's role was changed to Assistant Pastor while still overseeing children & family ministries.
In September 2019, Pastors Jonathan & Naomi became our co-lead pastors. They have three incredible children, Faith, Christian and Jael, who enjoy taking part in church life and ministry.
Pastor George and Moyra founded the church on September 5, 1993 while he was teaching at Northwest Bible College. He pastored and taught for 10 years till he resigned at the College to devote himself totally to the church.
They have been married since 1972. They have 3 adult children, Nathan, Naomi, and Jeremy, and nine grandchildren: Jessalyn, Zachary, Emmy, Faith, Christian, Jael, Timothy, Bethany and Zoe. Moyra directs the NPA Inspiration Choir, teaches Ladies Morning Out and is the church secretary.
George received his B.A. (1972) from North Central Bible College in Mpls. Minn., his M.Div. (1977) from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Mpls. Minn., and his D.Min. (1993) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill.
Pastor Vincent grew up in Edmonton and has been a part of NPA since his birth. He participated in Kingdom Kids and youth and is now our Youth Director while also attending Vanguard College. He is in the final year of his Bachelor of Arts in Theology (Youth Ministry / Pastoral Care and Counselling).
He is passionate about seeing the lives of young people transformed for Christ. He also enjoys adventure in the great outdoors and paint ball. At the top of a mountain peak in Banff on November 20, 2021, Vincent got engaged to Vanessa Meyer. Together they serve as examples to the young people of NPA.
Joshua is a 4th year student at Vanguard College studying theology and Pastoral Care & Counselling. He has a received a call from God for ministry and is currently learning what it means to be a shepherd of God's people. He married Katie in June 2021, and they are now expecting their first child in May! So, on top of learning about ministry, Josh and Katie are both now exploring what it means to be married, and be parents! Josh is excited to see where God will take both of them, and is trusting God for the next steps here at NPA. He is excited to be leading (with Katie) the Young Adults program, and participating in church life however he can
Katie is also in her 4th year of a Bachelor's of Theology in Pastoral Care and Counselling at Vanguard College and is passionate about preaching the Word of God and the healing power of God. She has been enjoying married life and is eager to welcome their new child come May 2022, and to see how being a mother ties in with the ministry to which God has called. Together with Josh, she is so excited to see where God leads during their internship at NPA and on from there!
